Welcome
Cross of Christ Music Academy
Our mission is to enrich the lives of students intellectually, artistically, and spiritually.
What We Offer
Cross of Christ Music Academy offers private lessons in piano, guitar, voice, drums, and various other band and orchestra instruments. Whether you are looking to start a new instrument, or pick of where you left off, we have something for all. We can help students prepare for auditions, supplement training for school band and orchestra members, prepare for them for the next big rock band, or just learn the basics of music. We have students of all ages, abilities, and interests.
How It Works
Lessons are held at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church at a regularly scheduled, weekly time with the teacher. We follow the major breaks of the Adams 12 academic calendar, but otherwise lessons are held weekly for an indefinite amount of time.
Nora Rozgony Scholarship
We are honored to offer the Nora Rozgony Scholarship, a needs-based scholarship. Nora was a member of our church and our children’s choir. This scholarship is a memorial in her honor to help music academy students with tuition costs. Contact us if you would like to learn more about this scholarship.
Who We Are
The Cross of Christ Music Academy offers private music lessons to children and adults of all ages and abilities. Our program serves not only our congregation but our surrounding community, giving more people a chance to learn the divine language of music. Though not intimately connected with the church’s music ministry, our students have the opportunity to connect with the church’s other musical offerings. There are opportunities for students to present music in worship, and to participate in our music ministry ensembles.
Relationship with the Church
The Cross of Christ Music Academy is a part of the music ministry at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church. Tuition that is collected from students is divided between paying CCMA staff and costs, and supporting other areas of music ministry.
Motto
The motto found on our logo “Musica Dei donum optimi” is a latin phrase from a sixteenth century motet that translates to “Music, the greatest gift from God.”
