Chili Cook-Off
Tuesday Night Live is October 18th
This week’s TNL features the annual Chili Cook-Off for dinner, so if you have a great chili, bring it down to be judged and then eaten up by appreciative diners! Dinner starts at 5:45pm with confirmation classes, adult studies, activities and children’s choirs beginning at 6:30. Kids and adults are finished by 7:30; confirmation students at 8:00. If you’ve never come to Tuesday Night Live, this is a great time to come for some great food and friendly competition!
Sandwiches for the Homeless
On Friday the 21st at 8am, come to the Fellowship Hall and help make sandwiches and bag up goodies to be taken to Holy Ghost Church in Denver and distributed to those folks in need. Now that it’s colder, soup will also be served, so soup makers are needed each month as well. If you would like to donate cookies or pastries, please bring them to the church before Friday morning. Contact Paul Spurgeon if you’d like more information or want to volunteer to provide soup.
Annual Halloween Bash
Team Trinity Youth Group will be hosting a Halloween Bash for kids and their families on Friday October 29th from 5-7pm. Games, cookie decorating, Trunk-or-Treat in the parking lot, and a costume contest will all be part of the fun. Admission is one canned/non-perishable food item to be shared with FISH, the Broomfield food bank. Come join the fun!
Called to More Meetings
Information meetings about the proposed building addition will be held on Sunday October 30th at 10:15am in the sanctuary or Sunday November 6th at 11:15am in the fellowship hall. You need only come to one of the meetings to find out more about the building design, proposed costs, and construction schedule. Thanks for your faithful giving to the Called to More Campaign that makes this all possible. Together we are “Seeking God’s guidance in the future of Cross of Christ”
Fair Trade Fair
The Fair Trade Fair is coming November 19th and 20th. Lutheran World Relief provides crafts and items for purchase made by artisans from many countries, with 90% of the proceeds going directly back to the artist. In addtion, we will have baked goods and local crafts; if you are interested in providing either of these things, sign up in the church narthex. Mark the dates and plan to attend as we support our brothers and sisters around the world.
