Community Resources

As we receive Community Resources, we are reviewing them and the posting them on this page.  We hope that these can be helpful in creating security and normalcy in the midst of uncertainty.  If you would like more information about how to help others, many of the organizations below are looking for volunteers and donations.  To see information about helping our Cross of Christ community, click here.  For information about helping others financially in Broomfield, click visit the Broomfield Community Foundation. Employment and Unemployment Resources:

Colorado Department of Labor and Employment – is the place to go if you need to file for unemployment

Connecting Colorado – this organization is providing a virtual job fair.  There is also a link to the Colorado Workforce Centers, which ask that individuals call before going to them in person

Food Resources:

Adams 12 School District – is providing food while school is shutdown

Broomfield FISH – provides food and so much more to families in need

Boulder Valley School District – is providing food while school is shutdown

Denver Public Schools – is providing food for children and adults in need, not just DPS students

Jeffco Public Schools – is providing food while school is shutdown

Meals on Wheels – delivers fresh, nutritious meals to those over 60

North Denver Cares Food Pantry – provides emergency food resources to those in need

The Refuge – provides free grab-and-go lunches at their cafe

Housing Resources:

Resident Relief Foundation – helps people stay in their apartment during times of financial insecurity

The Federal Housing Finance Authority (FHFA) announced that they have suspended foreclosures and evictions for 60 days on loans backed by Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae and will issue a suspension of mortgage payments for up to 12 months for borrowers facing hardship.  Anyone with mortgage payments questions are urged to contact their mortgage servicer as soon as possible to determine if they have a grace period.  Governor Polis also confirmed that he has asked landlords to not charge late fees to tenants and urged local governments to not use law enforcement resources to enforce evictions.

Westminster Water Bill Assistance – Information for a credit to your water bill

Broomfield Bridge the Gap – Provides housing payment assistance to those who have lost wages due to Covid-19

Colorado Tenant’s Guide to Covid-19 – Information about how to talk with landlords about paying rent, as well as places to seek support.  This is also available in Spanish here.

Adams County Housing Assistance – Short-term rental and mortgage relief fund information

Household Resources:

A Precious Child – Personal care items, cleaning supplies, and much more

Clothes to Kids Denver – This resource is providing clothes for children for curbside pick-up in the 10-county Metro Area (Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Elbert, Gilpin, Jefferson and Park)

Mental Health Resources:

Colorado Crisis Services – Support for mental health, substance abuse, and emotional concerns; all free

Khesed Wellness – provides low-cost mental health therapy sessions; free sessions are available now for underinsured workers

Health Care Resources: 

Clinica Colorado – Is providing $10 virtual appointments via phone or video call
